[Semi-amusing factoid.] Longest "The Hook" ever! [message #207636] Di, 17 Januar 2006 22:23

Given the tempo that "Farter Oblivion" is performed at on IMAGINARY
DISEASES, "The Hook" in the Be-Bop Tango section is approximately 7
seconds long (6:44 - 6:51 or thereabouts.)

I have to pick up a frickin' pie at nine in the morning.

"I apologize and recognize the validity of your argument."
--"Whit Sterling", in one of the more absurdly unlikely
statements in the history of Usenet.

mWo. It's not just the coolest, it's fa lyfe, so survey says
whether you like it or don't like it, never E-e-e-ver tell
me he did *not* just SMELL what mWo 3:16 reeks of.

Speaking of "Farther Oblivion" (sorry, Farther O-APOSTROPHE-Blivion),
you have my permission to delight in how abrupt the edit from the drum
solo after the "Be Bop Tango" part to the beginning of the "Cucamonga"
part is.

So what's "Montreal"? An improv?

My favorite performance of The Hook is in the reprise of Son Of Mr.
Green Genes, 11/23/73 (early) Toronto. From start to finish, it's longer
than seven seconds. That's because it's cut in half, interspersed with
Son Of Mr. Green Genes, and repeated! 1:03-1:15--twelve seconds.
